Sometimes referred to as perimeter wire or mower wire this is the cable that is used to mark out the area you need mowed.
This is done on a need to mow basis.
When you purchase an automower/robot lawn mower it will often come with boundary cable wire (mower wire) which is used to mark out the area your robot lawn mower needs to mow.
Sometimes the boundary wire supplied is not sufficent in length to cover the area needed and you'll need to purchase more to extend the boundary/perimeter.
It's common for boundary wire to also need replacing as it can degrade over time, or get broken/damaged by the elements, animals, and sometimes even your robot lawn mower. It's not uncommon for robot lawnmowers to cut through boundary wire, particualrly on uneven surfaces with ground laid wire.
Boundary wire works by using a small electo magnetic pulse that it sends from your robot lawn mower docking station. This travels through the length of the laid boundary wire and flows back to the charging station. If the circuit is interupted it will not function correctly and your robot lawn mower will not work.
Subterranean installtions for longevity as less likely to get damaged. We can offer this installation service. Or lay over ground which you can do yourself using our pegs an a hammer. Please see our tutorial video on this.
